Boehme, a resident of Victoria, BC, Canada, resides on the traditional territories of the lək̓ʷəŋən speaking peoples, including the Esquimalt and Songhees nations. Identifying as a cisgender white male with German and Scottish heritage, Boehme embraces his role as both an artist and educator. Currently, Boehme serves as a dedicated faculty member within the Visual Arts Department at Camosun College, where he imparts his expertise in Performance Art, Ceramics, and Sculpture. His artistic journey began with a diverse range of mediums, including painting, sculpture, performance, video, digital technology, installation, and photography. In his recent artistic endeavors, Boehme adopts a "trans-disciplinary" approach, seamlessly blending performance, video, audio, and objects to create multifaceted pieces. Unbound by any singular creative mode, he explores integrated approaches to bring his artistic visions to life.
